 The list of reports and studies contained in this section relate to construction projects being planned and other aspects of Turnpike operations. The Turnpike’s 2007 Annual Report of Operation & Maintenance (3.6MB PDF) encompasses a review of all the facilities on the Turnpike from the condition of the highway itself to the condition of our buildings, bridges, service plazas, maintenance areas and toll plazas. This document helps to identify potential deficiencies requiring more immediate attention, but also provides insight on which projects can be placed on a construction schedule as part of the Turnpike’s 10-Year Plan of project priorities and goals.
10-Year Plan
The Maine Turnpike Authority is currently preparing an updated 10-Year Planning Report on the transportation and infrastructure needs of the Maine Turnpike. This report will serve as a planning tool for the Maine Turnpike Authority, MaineDOT, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), the regional councils and communities served by the Turnpike. The Turnpike’s DRAFT Ten Year Plan is now available for public review and comment.
As an integral part of this process, the Maine Turnpike Authority is seeking input from the citizens and businesses of Maine, the patrons of the Maine Turnpike, MPOs, the local regional councils, MaineDOT, and all who are affected by the operations and maintenance of the Turnpike. In addition to four public hearings, the Turnpike would like to hear your comments.
